The Crescent Shore

Astronomical evidence

Proxima Centauri b was detected through periodic radial-velocity motion of its nearby host star. This method by itself constrains a mass multiplied by an orbital-inclination factor; the saved catalog's mass provenance and source estimates remain visible in the companion data. [1,2] Neither a shoreline nor a satellite follows from that detection. The scene explores one hypothetical surface, with a fictional moon providing its dominant visual form.

The illustrated viewpoint

Small dark-armored alien with a long slate mantle, seen from behind in meditation. A hypothetical calm shoreline on Proxima Centauri b beneath an invented moon. The sea, beach, local atmosphere, reflective liquid, moon and warrior are imagined. Radial velocities do not directly map Proxima b's radius or terrain. The crescent moon is unconfirmed. Its phase and apparent size, and the shoreline's illumination, are artistic choices.

Its phase and apparent size, and the shoreline's illumination, are artistic choices. All beings and cultures are fictional. Apparent sizes, phases and exposure are artistic, not a calibrated sky simulation. Cosmic connection is a visual theme, not an observed biological mechanism.
